The Parabola of Martijn Koolloos Name: Parabola
Design: Martijn Koolloos
Constructed by: Martijn Koolloos
Date creation: August 2005
Date RIP:30 September 2005
Material: Berch plywood, 8 layers
Thickness: 4 mm.
Wing chord: 27 - 50 mm (centre-part).
Wingspan: 240 mm.
Heigth: 230 mm.
Weight: 40 gr
Characteristics: Behaved in the unpainted version like a long distance boomerang, i.e. flies straight ahead, climbs and returns along almost the same path.
After painting it behaved more like rocket. It went sky-high and after reaching the highest point in one straight line back to earth with high velocity. Funny, but dangerous for people and not healthy for BR itself...
